1. The Space
A low coffee table next to an armchair or at the centre of the room it has to furnish the space without limiting the passage. The needed distance between the sofa and the edge of the seat of an armchair or a sofa it has to be in between 60 and 80 centimetres. To gain some more space, it’s better a coffee table with a rounded shape: the top will look smaller, but elegant anyway.
It’s better to choose a rectangular or squared shape if the coffee table is putted in between two face to face sofas, or with a corner sofa.
