In Maratea, on a slope overlooking the sea, the Hotel Santavenere is nestled in an extraordinary landscape.

The lighting project, designed by Light Company, was guided by the idea of creating a harmonious dialogue between architecture, nature, and the horizon, using light as a tool to reveal the park’s diverse souls.

Each plant element was treated with a specific lighting language: the pine trees receive light from above, enhancing the majesty of their foliage; the olive trees, meanwhile, are enveloped in ethereal, delicate lighting from below, while shrubs and smaller vegetation find even more diverse solutions. Even the paths were carefully differentiated, highlighting their function and position.

Special attention was paid to perspective: the rocks emerge from the water like sculptural presences, framed by light, while along the path towards the sea, some special moments become experiences to be relished.

In this context, Qu products offered reliable and versatile solutions, with corrosion-resistant lighting fixtures suited to such a delicate marine environment.

Qu’s production is characterized by high-quality mechanical processes. At the factory, each product undergoes rigorous testing in a sophisticated climate chamber. This advanced equipment allows for testing the products’ IP protection rating and simulating extreme environmental conditions, including neutral and acetic salt spray, allowing the light sources to be classified as “marine grade“, meaning they are ready to withstand the challenges of the most severe environmental conditions.

The choice of lighting fixtures was careful and meticulous. In the park surrounding the Hotel Santavenere, the Rocchetto family of projectors allowed for precise interpretation of the diverse design requirements thanks to a wide selection of optics and wattages. Custom finishes and customizations enabled the creation of unique details, such as the light rings installed on the ground to embrace the trees, creating a subtle yet striking visual presence.

In the garden, the presence of Brillo lamps – elegant, minimalist outdoor lighting fixtures – creates a suspended, almost magical atmosphere. Nestled among the plants, they blend into the landscape and enhance it through transparency and reflections, offering a dramatic, subtle lighting effect that enlivens the greenery without overwhelming it.

The lighting project for the Hotel Santavenere is completed by Magritte light sources, crafted from die-cast aluminum. Their simple, timeless form respects the language of nature and the spaces. All light fixtures are Marine Grade.
