Sottovoce is the new lighting collection by Bronzetto that combines high artistic craftsmanship, a distinctive hallmark of the Florentine brand, with memory and design, in a harmony made of precious details and narrative suggestions. A discreet and refined tribute to light and silence.
Unveiled at Euroluce 2025, Sottovoce offers a contemporary interpretation of light not only as an architectural element but also as a poetic and emotional presence. Composed of four different models – vertical chandelier, horizontal chandelier, table lamp, and floor lamp – the collection has been conceived for those looking in lighting not only function, but also atmosphere, character and story.
Inspired by the French Bouillotte lamps of the 18th and 19th centuries – originally created to illuminate the gaming tables during the lively Parisian nights of the exclusive aristocratic lounges – Sottovoce preserves the allure of that soft, enveloping glow that conjures intimacy and warmth.
Sottovoce reinterprets the original Bouillotte with a modern sensibility, maintaining its refined, understated essence while blending art, tradition, and contemporary design. Clear references to the modern chandeliers of Roll & Hill and the essential poetics that accompanies the luminous creations of David Chippeffield.
The poetics of light: materials, details and atmosphere
The heart of the collection is the coloured metal lampshade, that delicately filters light with whispered elegance, never overwhelming. The result is a gentle illumination that evokes the mysterious atmospheres of the Parisian nights, and the sweetness of those lively evenings illuminated only by golden reflections. A tribute to an idea of light that accompanies rather than dominates. A design that, as the name suggests, does not shout, but whispers – evoking the charm of subdued conversations under soft light and the interplay of shadows and gentle reflections that shape a quietly intimate mood.
The structure is crafted from natural brass with hand-waxed black detailing. The painted metal shades are offered in a range of finishes, designed to diffuse light with quiet sophistication. Each model can be equipped with dimmable LED sources. The variation in shade size and modular compositions allows for bespoke solutions. Sottovoce achieves a delicate balance of tradition and innovation, rigour and playfulness, transforming any space into one of cosy, unexpected charm.
Sottovoce chandeliers: elegance suspended between light and form
As a visual soundtrack, the Sottovoce suspension chandelier is a scenographic composition available with 10 or 12 metal lampshades arranged in glowing clusters or linear structures of seven lights.
The vertical version rises like a sculptural object that fuses light and architecture. Cascading brushed brass arms and black metal shades edged in red diffuse a warm, gentle light, crafting a cocoon-like ambience. Ideal for spaces with high ceilings, it introduces rhythm and height with understated drama.
